Business analysis doesn’t have to be blinkered

In fact, the best business analysis never is.

Business analysis is the generous act of enabling stakeholders to achieve what they need to achieve. It involves creating whole pictures—pictures that are embraced and embedded. Business analysts offer holistic solutions, options for organisations to solve their problems and move forward.

And when our work embeds, we change the landscape. We create something stakeholders couldn’t imagine living without, something that gives them capability, connectivity and opportunity.

The other kind of business analysis—the cheap, shallow and stressful—happens through being blinkered. I know that it doesn’t work in the long-term, and that you can do better than that. We all can.
